Autumn Term

Year 1 have experienced so much already in their Forest School sessions.  Every week our sessions connect to their learning goals with a particular focus on speaking and listening. We began by exploring the area, getting to know our routine and the flora and fauna in the woodland.  We met our 400-year-old oak tree, then observed how it fits into life cycles and our local environmental field studies.  The children listened to the story Leaf Thief, deepening their curriculum understanding of seasons, life cycles and weather.
